How to diagnose a health problem early
Diagnosing a health problem before it becomes worse may in fact save your life. There are a few ways in which to watch for health problems that might arise, however, there are some diseases that have no symptoms and cannot be detected without the aid of your physician.
The very first thing you should watch for changes is in your body, including your urine and bowels. Not only should you check your body for lumps, pay attention to pains, but also you should watch for increased or decreased eating patterns, sleep patterns, and restroom visits.
Any changes can be a sign of a health problem. Plan yearly or every six months checkup with your doctor and dentist. During these examinations, your doctor or dentist will be able to find any problems that may become worse if you do not change some of your daily habits, such as not getting enough exercise to flossing between meals. Yes, your teeth have quite a bit to do with your overall health. Once you have a plan in motion, there are a few things you can do to ensure you live a healthier life which will in essence improve recovery and prevent the health problem from becoming worse and in some cases, total prevention of most health problems.
The things you need to watch for overall health include:
How many fruits you eat in a day
How many vegetables you eat in a day
Exercise every day
Sleep
Fiber
Water
Sleep and relaxation is very important for any health problem. Your body needs to rest in order to regenerate. A person that is receiving enough sleep will not need an alarm clock to wake them up, will not become tired mid-day, and will have plenty of energy left over after dinner to play with the kids.
Be sure to drink plenty of water. Your body does not function properly without it and you can become dehydrated or you can come down with an infection. Water helps to flush your system.
Eating healthy foods that are high in fiber along with fruits and vegetables will give your body the vitamins and nutrients needed to fight off infections and other health problems.
Visit your doctor regularly and if you notice any change in your urine, bowels, have pain, cannot sleep at night, begin losing hair, notice a change in your eating habits, weight gain or weight loss contact your doctor. Anything that occurs that causes you to wonder should be reported to your physician. The best way to treat any health problem is with early diagnosis and treatment.
