How to diagnose Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

 

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a special condition that causes inexorable fatigue. People who experience this tend to live their life differently. The causes are yet to be discovered but so far with the help of medical breakthrough, CFS can be treated. Though there is known cure for this condition, the treatment helps those who suffer to be able to sustain their daily activities.

How do you diagnose CFS?

Step 1: Certain signs and symptoms should be evident such as; long term fatigue that lasts up to six months. Try to observe it if its short term or long term fatigue you’re experiencing.

Step 7: You will be undergoing a series of blood and urine test which will help narrow done the related diseases concerning CFS.

Step 8: If your result implies an explanation for a cause of another disease, you will undergo a series of extra test just to confirm the diagnosis.

Step 9: You will only be diagnosed with CFS if you posses long term fatigues, presence of four other symptoms and results of the lab tests confirming that no other illness is causing your fatigue.

 

If you are diagnosed with CFS, the right thing to do is seek treatment. Your doctor will offer you tons of alternatives. Since there in no known cure for CFS, the only solution you have is to lessen effects of the symptoms in order for you to live a longer life.

 

 

How to Treat CFS?

If you do have CFS, it’s time to do something about it

Step 1: Change your lifestyle. Try avoiding rigorous activities that would trigger your body to get tired.

Step 2: Exercise. Despite the fact that you get tired easily, exercise plays an important role in maintaining a healthy body. Try to develop an exercise program fit for your condition.

Step 3: Seek Counseling. Being in this state will trigger your emotions. You may feel worthless and depressed. It is advisable that you get help from a professional.

Step 4: Breathing and relaxation. Breathing properly gives your body the relaxation it deserves, so try to learn the techniques in breathing. Also try meditating.
