How to get rid of a black head

A blackhead is a plug that is caused when your body produces too much oil and the skin becomes clogged with this excess of oil. As the oil stays in the pore of the skin, it begins to harden. The air causes oxidation when it hits the hard top layer of the oil, which turns it black. The black top of the oil begins to rise to the top of the skin allowing the oil underneath to begin to harden. This is when you will be able to notice the blackhead.

To remove or prevent a blackhead you can try some of the following tips:

Keep your skin clean. You can use astringent solutions, natural cleansers, or masks. This will help to cut down on the amount of oil that is trapped inside the pores. On the other hand, never use harsh soaps that can damage or irritate the skin and never use any type of cream that leaves an oily finish on your skin at it will help with the build up of oil. Wash your face two times per day, but no more. If you wash your face more often, you can lose the oils your skin needs to be healthy.

Using a gentle exfoliant will aid in ridding your skin of dead cells inside of them accumulating in the pores of your skin adding to the clog.

Never squeeze or scrape a blackhead – Squeezing your skin can damage the skin and even make the pore larger which can make your skin prone to more blackheads.

Use a soft warm cloth to the blackhead. Only apply a small amount of pressure. This will help to soften the hard top, which will aid in cleaning the pore. While taking a shower, steam it up. The steam will help open the pores, which will allow you to clean the pores easily and rid your skin of blackheads.

You can purchase what is known as blackhead strips. If you use these products, be sure to read the instructions and follow them exactly. This product is similar to a piece of tape that you stick to the area and then pull of taking the blackhead with the tape. However, if not used properly, they can damage the skin around the blackhead.
