How to put on a condom
For some of us, it may be quite new for them to hear of such thing as a female condom. Actually, female condom has been out in the market for quite sometime now, and using this method is proven to be effective if it is used perfectly. One cannot deny the benefits of using the protection of a female condom.
A female condom is much like the ones used by males. The difference lies on the rings that it has on each end. One ring will lie inside the vagina, and the other one would be outside the vagina once the condom has been put on. Females using condoms are protected from unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases. Most doctors say that this condom is effective for most users once it is used properly.
Many women wonder about how to put on a female condom, so here are ways on how to put on one:
Make sure to wash your hands first before putting the condom in.
Next, squat with your knees apart or you may lie down in bed with your legs apart. This will let you put on the condom easier.
Find the inner ring of the condom and push it inside your vagina with your index finger. The inner ring should be up and against your pubic bone. You may find your pubic bone by curving your finger towards the front of the vagina when it is already about two inches inside. This may take quite some time because the condom is lubricated, causing it to be slippery.
Do not twist the condom inside your vagina. Make sure that it is inserted properly.
Make it a point to have the outer ring of the condom lying on the outer lips of your vagina. One inch of the condom should be outside your body, or else, there are risks of the condom completely entering your vagina.
During the intercourse, there is a need for you to guide your partner inside you. Remind your partner beforehand never to use a condom if you are using one.
After using it, gently twist the outer ring of the condom. This would keep the sperm inside the sac. Throw the condom in a waste bin and never reuse it.
The use of condoms in females may be a relatively new method of contraception, but it does work for most women if the steps are followed carefully and correctly. Of course, the use of the female condom has its advantages and disadvantages. Yes, it is quite cheap and it can be obtained in local drugstores, but many still complain about the difficulty of putting it on. But so far, the advantages overshadow the disadvantages so far.
Bear in mind that safe sex should always be observed by men and women. In our generation, we are never sure of the illnesses which may come with the risk of having an intercourse. Prioritize having safe sex no matter what.
