How to reduce wrinkles

This guide provides a comprehensive list of techniques that can be used to reduce wrinkles.

It is important not only to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, which sometimes is more cosmetic, but also the root cause of wrinkles should be sought to be removed.

What causes wrinkles?

Before looking at wrinkle removal methods, its important to look at what causes wrinkles.

Among the most important cause of wrinkles are:

  • Chronological aging
  • Exposure to UVA or UVB from sunlight
  • Muscle use and even gravity.

Wrinkle removal methods

One of the best ways to keep wrinkles from occurring is to try and keep it at bay. A very clean diet rich in nutrients and regular exercise does wonders for removing wrinkles but also from appearing in the first place.
Below are various treatments for wrinkles.

Natural treatments for wrinkles

There are several things that must be done here:

Healthy eating – this mainly means a diet based on fruits and vegetables, whole grains, healthy oils and so on. In fact, organic food could make a positive difference.

Drink plenty of water – if you are familiar with diets, you know that water is quite important for the human body. So it is logical that hydration of the skin is a good wrinkle reducer.

Exercising exercises are great for a normal blood flow and therefore for the oxygenation of the skin.

Relaxation – in our society it is quite important to have some moments of your own. Once you reduce the tension, the skin will get its benefits.

Moisturizing

Moisturizers are of great help in preventing the dryness of the skin, but in reality they have a poor effect on wrinkles. But keeping hydrated is a good start in reducing drying affects that lead to wrinkles. Although wrinkle creams vary in price, there is a small difference between them.

Too many people waste money buying moisturizers that are supposed to remove wrinkles after a few weeks application, but the truth is most are not very effective at all. Rather, it is the marketing men that do a good job at creating an image of their effectiveness.

Creams

When applied on the skin, especially around the eyes where the skin is thinner and more sensible, an anti wrinkle cream can stimulate the skin, reducing the ugly aspect . It should be noted many anti-wrinkle creams are very ineffective.

Vitamins

•  Vitamin A is very important for the skin's health and UV radiation protection.

•  Vitamin C is great for the reduction of skin swelling and collagen regeneration

•  Vitamin C has positive effects in skin roughness, wrinkle depth and length of lines.

•  Selenium in recent studies has shown abilities of protecting the skin from the sun damage.

Try to get these vitamins through food that has plenty of the aforementioned vitamins e.g. fruits and vegetables. Vitamin supplements such a multivitamin can also be consumed.

Dermatological treatments for wrinkles

If the wrinkles have reached a stage of being too pronounced then more advanced wrinkle treatments might be necessary. These treatments are chemical peels and laser treatment administered by a dermatologist.

A dermatologist will usually use chemical peels to reduce wrinkles. Light, TCA, glycolic acid – based, phenol or laser peels, all of different strength are used for the same purpose: reduce wrinkles.
