How to treat cervical cancer
There are various ways in which to treat cervical center according to the stage of cancer. Cervical cancer is categorized by eight stages, which include Stage 0, Stage IA Cervical Cancer, Stage IB Cervical Cancer, Stage IIA Cervical Cancer, Stage IIB Cervical Cancer, Stage III Cervical Cancer, Stage IVA Cervical Cancer, and Stage IVB Cervical Cancer.
Stage 0
For individuals with stage 0 cervical cancer the most common treatment are surgeries such as loop electrosurgical excision procedure known as LEEP, conization, cryosurgery, laser surgery, and total hysterectomy for women that do not wish to have any children. Radiation therapy is a treatment for those that cannot have surgery.
Stage IA Cervical Cancer
Treatments available for Stage IA cervical cancer include
Conization
Total hysterectomy
Bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy
Internal radiation therapy
Hysterectomy (radical) along with the removal of the lymph nodes in the area
Stage IB Cervical Cancer
Treatments available for Stage IB C
Treatments available for Stage IIB Cervical Cancer include
Both internal radiation therapy and external radiation therapy along with chemotherapy
Stage III Cervical Cancer
Treatments available for Stage III Cervical cancer include
Both internal radiation therapy and external radiation therapy along with chemotherapy
Stage IVA Cervical Cancer

Stage IVB Cervical Cancer
Treatment available for Stage IVB Cervical Cancer include
Radiation therapy to relieve the symptoms known as palliative therapy
Chemotherapy
As with most cancers, early detection is the only way to receive a good prognosis. Once the cancer has spread to other areas of the body as is seen with Stage IVB, the treatments are mainly there for aiding with the symptoms and the cancer cannot be totally destroyed or killed.
