How to avoid hair loss treatments that do not work

Although there are now some genuinely good hair loss treatments that do an excellent job at stopping hair loss such as and helping to regrow hair such as propecia and minoxidil, unfortunately, there are also many treatments that simply do not work.

Hair loss treatment industry is awash with many treatments that simply do not work. These are referred to as “snake oil because they are treatments that have simply been thought up by scammers that are intent on committing fraud on people who are desperate to get their hands on any treatment that sounds plausible in stopping hair loss or regrowing hair.

Important to get on a treatment that works early

By using fake hair loss treatments, you could lose precious time in your fight against reversing hair loss. The speed at which Male Pattern Baldness (MPB) affects people varies from one person to another and so it is highly important that you set off on the right foot from the start.

Unfortunately, there are so many websites that now sell “hair loss treatments”

How to buy the right hair loss treatments and identify fake products

  • Always buy your hair loss treatment from a well-renowned hair loss company operating on the internet.
  • Thoroughly research hair all hair loss treatments and what they could do for you before you embark on a hair loss regimen.
  • Never buy a product off a site that seems to be only selling this product. Buy your hair loss product off big companies that sell proven products.
  • If you are not familiar with a hair loss treatment then they will almost certainly be “snake oil”. Only buy hair loss treatments that have been either approved by the FDA or have shown to have good results in highly authoritative studies carried out by independent organizations.
  • It can be tempting to buy hair loss treatments that make unrealistic promises. These make claims that sound to good to be true, well, they are too good to be true because no hair loss treatment will live up to some of those highly unrealistic claims.
  • The trusted hair loss manufacturers will make claims based on findings from research by bodies such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
  • For now, avoid hair loss products that are supposedly concoctions made up of natural ingredients. Up to now, there has not been too much evidence of any natural hair loss products that work to reduce Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) or stimulate hair growth.

You can find some excellent information on Hairlosstalk (www.hairlosstalk.com). This site is a great resource for hair loss sufferers.
